Welcome to Emerald Point! Our specialty is breeding and sales of National and World show quality Appaloosa performance prospects.  We started our program in Arkansas in 1997 and moved to Whitesboro, Texas in 2010.  We are now located in the heart of horse country, where the soil is sandy loam, the pastures are coastal bermuda grass and the weather is mild.   We are conveniently located to some of the best equine vet clinics in the country and are also conveniently located to many of the major shows in the country.  We are only a 1 1/2 drive to Fort Worth, a 3 hour drive to Oklahoma City and a 4 1/2 hour drive to Tulsa.

We have bred five World Champions, four Reserve World Champions, a Canadian World Show High Point Champion,  World and National show Top Tens and Top Fives, two National High Point Champions, a Superior Event Champion, futurity money winners and many ROM and point earners.  One of the horses we have bred, Soaking Up The Sun, has earned World or Reserve World Titles in 3 different breed associations.  As small breeders, we strive to breed the best horse possible, always working towards our goal of raising stock that possesses correct conformation with athletic ability.  We utilize cooled shipped semen to breed to the best stallions in the industry.  Be sure to visit the  Reference Sires and the Broodmares  pages to read more.

Because we only raise 2 - 4 foals a year, time allows each foal to be handled extensively. Each foal begins his/her education from the moment he/she is born.  Lisa is in attendance at foaling time and each foal is imprinted at birth.  We are big believers in teaching ground manners from the beginning and by weaning time, all foals are halter broke, broke to stand tied, will load in the trailer and will have had basic farrier care.   We work towards raising foals that are friendly, eager and willing to please. In human terms, we call it "well adjusted". We believe in the philosophy that "you are what you eat" and that applies to our horses, as well. All of our horses are fed quality hay and feed and are subject to a regular worming, vaccination, farrier, and dental schedule.

If you are looking for healthy and sensible show prospects, we invite you to come visit us at our new facility at 5482 West Line Road in Whitesboro, Texas.
